There are 13 public bathrooms on Lighthaven campus. 5 have showers, 3 have bidets, and only 9 of them are pictured on the map. Map of Lighthaven, with water droplets representing bathrooms

Let’s start with the bathrooms in Darwin, where I’m staying. There are none. I think some of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, but mine is not one of them.

The closest bathrooms are in Cantor, both inside Inkhaven’s winner’s lounge. You’re only allowed into the winner’s lounge after having posted. Conveniently these have 2 of the 5 showers. Don’t tell Ben Pace that I regularly sneak in here before posting for my morning shower. shower in Cantor The dial on the faucet is reversed, first hot water, then cold. I assumed I’d have to take a cold shower the first time I showered here. shower water dial This bathroom has a very spacious floor plan. spacious floor plan What is that little gray square in the corner? detail of little gray corner Toilet paper holders are surprisingly rare throughout Lighthaven, but at least there’s always a large stack of toilet paper rolls nearby. Very efficient I suppose. No toilet paper holder to be seen

Other than the lack of toilet paper holder, Cantor’s other bathroom is by far one of the least remarkable. Other Cantor bathroom

One morning, looking for a shower that was not in the winner’s lounge, I came across this monstrosity attached to the gym in Eigenspace. eigenspace gym bathroom eigen space gym shower detail: it's a giant metal frame with a lot of nozzles and weird square controls This would be one of the nicest showers if it had better water pressure.

Eigenspace’s ground floor has my favorite sink for shaving: the sink and mirror are particularly tall. shaving sink bathroom It also gave me a new entry for my collection of bathroom gender signs. any gender at all, no woman depicted explicitly

This teeny tiny sink in Eigenspace’s upstairs bathroom is cute. It’s clever that it attaches to the toilet tank to avoid needing a separate water line. tiny sink

Upstairs, Aumann hides the only shower/bidet bathroom. It’s a bit too far and on too direct a path through the kitchen for me to want to use it in the morning. Aumann upstairs Aumann upstairs shower

Aumann’s two main downstairs bathrooms are probably the most frequently used. I enjoy their nice hardwood aesthetic. click bathroom “Click!” close up of mark on sink Surprisingly rather than the door with the sink, it’s mostly the latch’s contact with the cabinet makes this sound. latch makes contact not door

That rounds up Aumann’s bathrooms.

Bayes has the last shower, conveniently tucked away in the comfiest room: Bayes Attic. Bayes Attic I think the shower is rarely used, there were some insects in the drain when I tried taking a shower here. Bayes attic shower

Bayes also has two bathrooms hidden behind this sometimes locked door on the ground floor. locked door two toilets|697 I wonder what all this shelving is for. normal toilet I had no difficulty finding the sink in this one. hard to find sink above toilet The final bidet is in Bayes’ basement. It automatically dispenses blue cleaning liquid too. Bayes' basement

This completes our census of Lighthaven’s public bathrooms. Let know if I missed one! Due to my completionist tendencies, I likely won’t pass up even a private/en-suite bathroom.
